Mr. Tadaomi Umeki, UME-san or “Meister Apricot” in Okinawa
✿You are hopping around five-star hotels all across the globe. Then could become just a little tired of being welcome by those stereotypical manners there even though they are more than perfect, nice and helpful with hospitality as usual. It is the right time for you to come to Okinama and meet this guy. Your visit will surely become extremely meaningful all of a sudden. Since UME-san has a magic.
Mr. Umeki is standing closer than your friends, family members, to you. Even much closer than yourself to understand what you need here and now. He is your eye, ear, nose, mouth and hand. He also uses his own professional intuitive sense to finalise his helping hand to you during your important trip rather quietly.
“Live and feel everything with the customers” is his lifelong motto as a first-rate concierge, or as just a man. All what he recommends to you is exactly what he experienced and found it important for you through his own six senses. Never ever is receiving and telling of the Internet information which was got 8 min ago.
If you hadn’t known that Meister Umeki had lived and worked for you such a long time for YOU, why not meeting him and leaving everything to his magic hand in Okinawa? You will surely fall in love with this charming subtropical island.
Mr. Tomoki Tsujita - Mountain guide and practicing “Yamabushi” monk
✿When you challenge a strenuous trail in Japan, Tomoki is the man you want to have by your side. He supports your day so that it is perfectly safe and comfortable. The secret of his guiding is his pure spirit as a monk. If you see Tomoki, he might look like an ordinary Japanese man, but his heart is very warm and full of deep love toward mountains and nature.
He was born in Wakayama, the bottom of Mt. Koya, which is famous as a religious centre of esoteric Buddhism. When he was in 20s, a mountain practitioner recommended that he try 'Shugendo', mountain ascetic training. Over the years he has earned the following titles:
◆ Official Mountain guide of Japan Alpine Club
◆ Certified guide of Mt. Koya Kongobu-ji precinct
◆ World Heritage Meister of Wakayama prefecture
◆ Official guide of Shikoku 88 temple pilgrimage
◆ Buddhist monk of Shingon esoteric sect
Throughout the year, Tomoki walks in the mountains, mainly in Kii peninsula and Shikoku area, to keep his deep knowledge of the area. He also knows all the separate ancient routes of Kumano very well, including the latest conditions, not just as a mountain guide but as somewhat a mysterious wise man from the sky…
His power has been strengthened by fruit milk, not by sake. After walking on rough mountain trails for a long time, he usually sips it and nods with satisfaction.
